High Security UPVC Cylinders

Most UPVC door are fitted standard Euro locks, but with break-ins to these type of locks becoming much more common its time to think about fitting a lock with Anti-Snap, Anti-Drill, Anti-Pick and Anti-Bump features.

Rack Bolts

You can fit various types of additional security to external wooden doors. We recommend Rack Bolts as a good option to back doors that may be vulnerable. They can also be fitted to internal door to protect your home contents.

Your Home Security

With the increased pressure from Insurance Companies most people will have to review their home security at some point. Policy requirements are getting more strict as they now clearly state that all wooden external door should have British Standard locks fitted and windows should have lockable handles.

Pentland Locksmiths always fit BS Mortice locks to wooden door as standard. Beware of some locksmiths who are happy to put in the cheapest lock that has no official security rating.

We also offer additional security to all types of door and window. Please see description below for examples.

BS Nightlatch

You can upgrade you exiting Yale lock to one with a BS rating.

Most BS nightlatch’s will have automatic deadlocking and internal locking devices to enhance your security.

BS Union Sashlocks

We fit Union deadlocks and Sashlocks to all wooden doors as standard. Why now check your existing lock to see if it has a kitemark on the plate. If it doesn’t you should consider upgrading as it may not be approved by Insurance Company.
